September - A month of celebration!

September is midway through and it is time to welcome the two birthdays of my prince and little princess.

Yes, Justin’s and Kerin’s birthday are just round the corner!! 23 Sep and 28 Sep (Just 5 days apart! Good planning daddy and mummy!) So, what have we planned for them??

Hmmm..apparently, NOTHING. Kel thinking was that not every year we have to celebrate the kids birthdays in style. So, we have arranged the following “programs”.

Sat (to celebrate Prince Justin’s BD)
- Dinner @ Disney Naturally with uncle Timothy and auntie Sarah.. (Apparently, Uncle Tim’s BD is on 21 Sep) Well, 1.5 Virgos and a Libra celebrating birthday together? Will make sure I snap some pictures for viewing later..

- PM afternoon MacDonald’s Tea in School on 23 Sep to celebrate Prince Justin’s BD with his friends(this will be the last year, Nick and him will be celebrating together :( ). Will Get a block cake for night celebration with Gonggong and Mama.

- 28 Sep (Sunday), Princess Kerin’s birthday
Will get a “Bob the Builder” Block cake for her..(she requested one) and celebrate with Yeye and nainai at night.

Well, all the cakes are ordered..still thinking whether to get the party hats & balloons..

They are a year older .. Justin will embark his life long EDUCATION journey next year..as for Kerin, she has another 3 years of fun…

Found a couple of pics when the kids were younger... was very emotional going through all these pictures. In a blink of eyes, the kids are already 6yr & 3yr old . We have alot of Ups and Downs bringing up the kids. Alot of learning and relearning to do everyday.. Alot of tears and joys along the way..

Bringing up Justin was much more difficult maybe due to inexperiences and his illness (he was quite a 'coughy' kid). As for Kerin, it was much easier, maybe we are more experienced and relaxed. Hope u will enjoy the pics. (Cannot find Justin's bb pics - all achieved on disc..)

Play Pretend

Kids like to play pretend. They pretend they are "cooking", they pretend they are "dressing" the dolls, they simply loves to play pretend. For adults, we call them role playing. In fact, in real life, we played alot of different roles.

For today, I decided to play the role of a good mum. I hungho-ly signed up Justin for 2 PM courses at CC and took half day off to send him to classes. Anyway, personally, I think the two classes are interesting - 1 is Mooncake making and the other is lantern making. (sounds interesting huh?)

Again, I hungho-ly rejected Kel's kind offer to drive the car.. I told him i can fetch Juz to and fro via public transport and well, i am still wondering whether i made a wrong decision. (Anyway, I think he needs it more than me..)

Anyway, this is the program as a "Mum-cum-chauffeur" day :-

12nn - Fetch him frm school, go Mama' hse to unload the bags.
1245pm - Took a cab to the CC
1pm - His class starts! For me.. start surfing net, reading emails and msn!
245pm - Part I of class ended.
3pm - Part II starts! Me? Continue my part II of cyber cruise..
430PM - All classes ended, head for hm via cab.
5pm to 545pm - His snack and rest time, while i continue to clear more emails!
6pm - Walk to mama's hse for dinner (Rain started to pour!)
7pm - Time to move to CC for his Art class
730pm - Reach CC for for his class and ME?? Jalan ard NTUC and shops.
9pm - Class ended, head for hm via cab.
930pm - Shower and rest!
10pm - Justin went to bed..and I am TOTALLY SHACKED!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think i will Die if i continue to do this M-cum-C stunt! I salute to all SAHM! They hv to cooked, clean, teach and fetch the kids. For me, I prefer to sit in office, scold pple, write nasty mails and in btw, slip my flower tea! (And of course, parade ard in office with my nice clothes and shoes!) And I am really SHACKED Today!

Amazing!

There are alot of amazing things happening for the past 1~2 wks. Amazingly it has been raining for almost 5 days.. (frm Sat all the way to Today!) Sometimes, drizzling in small little droplets, sometimes coming down in Huge buckets! Amazingly, despite the cold weather, today's dessert for lunch was Ice Cream! Amazingly, air-con temp in office is the same as North Pole despite the cold weather..and we are bundle up like we are in freezing pole north! Amazingly, the pple who set the fire are telling all of us to move on with our lives and let's not talk abt it! And most amazing of all, my mum can read my mind! I was "lusting" over lunch that how nice if we could hv pig stomach soup for lunch today (cos it is drizzling and cold) - btw, today's soup was duck with salted veggie (not too bad too lah, no complaints..). So, I continue to "lust" over that peppery, hot soup and amazingly, after my pilate class today, after i finished my dinner and when i opened the pot! IT WAS PIG STOMACH SOUP!!!!!!! Hehehe.. i hv 2 big bowls (though i am not suppose to drink so much water after eight!) But again, what the heck! Not everyday u can hv that soup (without getting a sore throat).. and not everyday, mum can read my mind...

Well, it just brighten up my darn damm day in office.. all's forgotten and forgiven..all thks to mum!

Inspired Cooker

Hv been reading alot of cookery blogs recently. Very inspired by the bloggers who put so much effort into cooking and food presentation! (will share some blogs sites with u all later..)

Went Daiso and get these "pastry" cutter and rice molder..

Rice molder..can mold 1 terry bear, 1 gal and 1 boy


Pastry Cutter, can be used to cut bread, meat, carrot, hotdogs into various shapes and sizes.


Hv been cooking these two sundays lunches. Two sundays ago, did a celery,carrot,onions + minced pork macaroni for the kids. (one is down with sore throat and one is having slight flu), therefore, soup based meals are best comfort food for them. (Esp with onions!)

My little princess!

Last sunday, did a chicken soup with celery, carrots, onions, potatoes, fried a veggie and steam eggs for lunch. It has been raining for past 2 days, some comfort food to warm the body..

GoodBye, We Will Miss U!

It just happened on Friday nite. Simply couldnt Get it Up and running and after rounds of inspections, we confirm it is beyond cure..We hv to bide GoodBye to it.. Yes, it has been with us for 6 yrs and it is kinda of sad. It served Edwin and George for good 4 to 5 yrs and accordingly to Kel, it is abt time, it shld leave.

We Thank you for all your help for the past 6 years and may u rest in peace..

Busy Busy Busy

Yes, hv not been blogging for awhile.. hv been rather busy at work.It's the peak period of the yr again, pre-xmas orders are coming in.

Kids hv been coughing and alot of pple are sick due to a change of season... yes, we are moving out of the 7th mth soon and into Mooncake festival in less than 23 days...
1 more mths to the kids' Bds and 4mths towards Xmas! Ha! Time sure flies!

Was playing with the new Nikon camera the other day (while waiting for my canon to come back the "hospital")
