Mummy is having a long break this year end and she has been playing around with food..

Per daddy's request, she tried to cook seafood beancurd. This is the final output.. Hmmm, if you asked me ...the beancurd is not enough but A LOT of Veggies! Kekekeke.. + a herbal chicken.

See this is my spread..nice?

On a lazy afternoon, she made ham sandwich (left over ham frm xmas feast..)

And this is our western food dinner! Hamburger with egg!! The egg is fried using a heart and star shaped bread cutter.

This is mine

This is Kerin's.

And this is for daddy!

Hmm...wonder what she will cook next????

Fun day @ Pasir Ris

Today is the last Saturday of the year and also my last Saturday of fun before the school reopens. (**sad..) Since the weather is prefect today, daddy and mummy decided to bring us to Pasir Ris Park! It has been a long time since we last visited the place (cos it was undergoing renovation + my jam pack schedules on Saturday mornings!)

The place was a fun pack place! There are different types of playgrounds for different age groups.

See, this is the fat gal doing mountain climbing! hehehehe...

This is big play sites for all ages..

Mei tries to be the firewoman...

In case you are wondering where I am.. I am zooming around the whole place .. mummy didn't manage to capture me.. Hahahah!!!
After that, we came home for lunch, took an early nap cos daddy promised us that if the weather continues to be so nice, he will bring us to the beach in the evening!
Wow!! It has been a long time since we last went to the beach! Since we discovered Pasir Ris park has a nice beach area, we decided to check out this new place as East coast will be usually packed with a lot of people.
This is ME!! I am going to create my own town with my own road leading to the sea! See, I am working very hard digging away.
Daddy and meimei will help to build the houses.
Meimei..in her underwear..building away..She is a scare of the sand, scare of the dirty beach and all the while she is sitting at ONE position!
1 of our sandcastle.. made possible by the sandcastle making moulds auntie sarah bought us..
Our end product... houses with roads!
There..the fat gal again..waiting for mummy to carry her around...
Kerin : Yo, enough hor..come and carry me!

Graduation Concert

19th Dec was Justin's graduating concert. This time round, it was a on a weekday morning... Yeye, nainai, mama were all presented to see their little grandson graduating from K2. They have a mini scroll presentation + graduating speech by two fellow classmates before the show begin!

See how happy he is? Hehehehe..he is still unaware of the new challenges ahead of him...

Meimei has 1 item to perform in the concert. She is suppose to be the lion king dancing with other lions and animals.

Here she is! With her makeup all done up and hair nicely pinned!

The concert was funny as usual. The Pre-N, N1 and N2 kids are usually out of control on stage. Some of will cry or stray around with a few really performing.

This is Justin (dancing and performing the Ugly Duckling Skit)

One pics of the two of them..don't ask me why they aint smiling.. Guess, almost lunch time, all are hungry!

My Boy has graduated!

I bet all of us have been through this. And this is the proudest moment of our life from age 0 to 6yrs old. And coming this Friday, I am going to witness my boy graduation! Wow, sounds like he is graduating from university? Well, he is graduating from K2 and moving on to start his journey in the rat race. A month ago, his school started to take graduating pics for the kids. From N1 to K2, all the kids have their pictures taken.

This is our boy :) I think the PAPs kids wore Blue graduating gown, well, his cc is Red.

With his teachers, supervisor and all his frens! ( Can u spot him?)

This is missy. Their school has a very nice album to display their pictures.

Another anniversary?

December is a month full of anniversaries! Today, I am proud to announce that I can remove that bright, striking P-plate from Kel's Car! Yes, today is my 1st getting-my-car-license anniversary! (sound werid huh?)

One year ago on 12 December, I was still very nervous about my driving test. I hv put in alot of effort taking half days to pratise despite my heavy workloads. And to my horror, that morning, it was drizzling :( The taxi driver who drove me there was still very encouraging (see I can remember all the kind words!). I was lamenting to him that today's weather is not good, chances of passing are slim. He told me to look at the bright side of things, raining doesn't mean failing the test for sure. And true to his words, I made it. My tester parting words to me was.."You must be more careful on the road, ok?" before he gave me a passing grade!! Well, the grade is a double digit, not fantastic but then, who cares!!?? A pass is a Pass!!

Prawn Noodles

I am considered one of the few more fortunate ones who had home-cooked dinner everyday. The spread on the dinner table is usually more than 3 dishes + soup (must hv!) daily.

Mum is a great cook and a super housekeeper! She can manage Kerin, go marketing, cook, clean the house day in day out. I think I will die of exhaustion if you ask me to do all these chores everyday. When we came home tonite, we have another surprise. We are having prawn noodles for dinner!

One of my favourites!! Yummy Yummy!

This one is with Pig Skin!!! YES!!

Normal ones...
With fried onions and red chilies, simply heavenly!

HotPot

I was dying to have steamboat. Yes, dying is the word. So, I decided to skip Pilate class for 1 week and sneak off with Kel to fulfill my desire!!

We went to this Hotpot shop at Selegie call Hey Hey Hotpot. Buffet dinner is at $27 ++ and soup based is charged another price. We choose the melon soup which is very nice and light. There are a variety of seafood, poultry, veggies, dim-sums and side dishes to choose from(usual for steamboat buffet). What I can comment is that the food is fresh, at least not like some places where the seafood has a fishy smell. And their servings are generous. After two rounds, we are really very full and satisfied.

This is our Melon soup hotpot!

7 years ago on 8th Dec

7 years ago on a bright sunny Saturday, we held our customary wedding. Yes, I remembered it was a sunny day (in contrast of today's weather - it has been drizzling the whole Day! ) and in a blink of eyes, 7 years hv come and go. So, what kind of celebration did we hv tdy? Hmm..with 2 kids and loads of housework to do, we decided to pig out at home.. Well, I hv a tonne of clothes to iron cos Ping-yi has went back to HK for holidays and with a wet weather, there is no where we can go. (Though we are suppose to join auntie Eileen at Sentosa)

Later we will be dinning out with our parents cos my brother is out of town. And before he flew off, he actually sms me to take care of our parents! I am amazed as this is the first time he sent this kind of sms.. can see that marriage has made him a more sensible and caring fellow! (Way to Go, YK!)

We din get any gifts for one another not that we ran out of ideas or $$ or interest, personally, I think we hv more good years ahead of us.. there is no rush, we will learn to cherish all the moments together.

Meet-The-Parents 2008

It is the time of the year again !! Met both Justin's and Kerin's teachers yesterday morning where they will update the kids' progresses with a report card like booklet and return all the works they have done throughout the year.

First Stop, to meet Justin's English and Chinese Teachers. We brace ourselves for a long session (we know our kid..) and the first thing Teacher D say , " Well, it seems like you have a future politician in the making!" Kel and me rolled our eyes at one another..Huh? Meaning? According to Teacher D, Justin is a Sociable, helpful and a independent boy. We translated it to: He is Talkative!, KPO! and Bossy boy! hehehe.. See English can be interesting! Well, Teacher D personally thinks that personal traits are in-born and we should be happy that he has all these traits since young. Well, to be frank, I will be happy if he could cruise through his academic career without much hardship. As for character, I believe it is more or less in born. And I hate to admit this (despite constant reminders from a "fren") Justin is a duplicate of me! He seems to have all my traits!!

Now, next to Kerin. Her Chinese Teacher, Teacher S say she is clever and is very interactive in classs. She is good in art and crafts and can cut and paste very well. Again, Kel and me rolled our eyes. Hehehehe..it seems that missy is not that type at home, she seems to be more wilful and demanding at home. Maybe we "neglected" her. When Juz was her age, he has his parents' full attention, as for Kerin, she only has half of Kel and my attentions. Hmm.. will try to convince my mum to send her to fulltime school next year. My only worry is she will slim down alot..
The kids with their report cards..

Was craving for luncheon meat the whole week.(Normal craving, pls dont think otherwise!) Made this luncheon meat breakfast for Kel and myself and made him bring the doraemon bread box to work! Ha! He say his colleagues will all laugh at him.. Hmmm.. what's wrong? A breakfast made with love (& and lots of fats) by the wife.. They shld envy him! Hehehehe..

The small stick is tartar sauce, they are sold in this kind of handy pack in Japan!

Wrong Prescription

Little Master Tang was having fever the whole wkend. Up and down, up and down and when it hit max 39.2 degrees, something inside me tells me we hv to do something.

Off we go to Mt Alverina 24hr clinic since it is a Sunday evening, not many choices available. This is the 2nd time little Master Tang visited this place. There was once he was ard age 1+ and he has high fever too and when it happened on a wkend, there aint alot of choices available.

Dr Ng attended to him. He was a resident doctor on duty that evening and based on his analysis, the antibiotics that our GP gave him wasn't helping him. Therefore, the body has to work doubly hard to protect it against the virus. He prescribed another type of antibiotics, cough syrup and two types of fever medicines for different temperature.

After the 2nd dose of antibiotics, little master Tang's fever subsided and today, he was given a day off to rest at my mum place.

Again, never take chances when kids have fever that refused to go away after 3-4 days. I rather be called a kan cheong spider (with eight legs all entangled together) rather than take chances. Well, all my sleepless nites payoff when Justin told me he love me very much and thank me for taking care of him. Well, my this guy is rather an emotional fellow, just hope he grew up with balance dose of EQ and IQ. Too much of either one is not good.
