Random Thoughts

Something hit me early this week that leave me in a shock for quite sometime. It sets me thinking that we have been taking alot of things around us for granted till the time/day, something snap and we are thrown into a state of panic and finger pointings.


A lot of mixed feelings and reactions will come into the picture and how we are going to face the situation really depend on the people around supporting us. I am glad that I am there for my friends when they are in need of me and similarly, they are there for me when I need a pat on my back to move on. We cant have a garden full of beauty flowers without putting effort to nurture them or we can choose to have a few pots of nice flowers and spend quality time nurturing them. The choice really lies with you.

Photobooks

It has been getting more common and popular to do photo books nowadays rather than printing copies of photos and keeping them in albums. And there are alot of choices too. Kel bght a couple of photo books voc at the recent PC show at half price and his first project is our Japan trip last year. Well, frankly, it was SUPPOSE to be my project but.. but.. hmm.. well, I lack of the patience he has to vet through all the pics.. So, he decided to do it himself!

This is his first project and he is really proud of it!! He is making another 2 more.. stay tune! :)

Mathematics Rep

Nowadays, schools are having alot of creative names to teach the kids responsibilities and assigning them with JD.

Earlier this year, Juz told me that he was the lights rep for his class. Light rep?? Light rep's JD is to ensure that all the lights and fans are turned on and off before and after class. In my heart, I was evilly amused but then, I told him that he played a very important job in conserving the energy and saving our earth! And my colleague was telling me the other day that her son is the waterbottle rep!! JD? To ensure the water bottles are there????!?!?

Well, whatever titles they are given, schools are merely using them to instill some sense of responsibilities into young kids who view helping teachers a very important task in their life.

Back to my Juz.. a few days ago, he came back happily to tell me that he is the mathematics rep! Again, i ask him what is his roles this time? Is it because his mathematics is good, therefore he is chosen to help the weaker ones?

Nope, he answered proudly that he is helping his mathematics teacher to collect the workbooks, carry them to and fro the staff room as and when needed. :) *LOL*

Anyway, to his little mind, it is an impt task with a badge given to pin on his uniform everyday (he will 'instruct' me every nite to remember to pin his badge!) and going to school is not just for plain academic excellent but to build up character which the books cannot teach.

Mama's BD celebration at The Line

We celebrated Mama's bd 2 Sundays ago at the Line @ Shangri-la hotel. As the hotel is having discount peg to your age, it is kinda of difficult to get reservations. We failed to get for my mil's bd earlier therefore, to ensure we get a place, we started calling as soon as the reservation lines are opened!

Lucky for us, we managed to get a booking for 6 adults and two kids and total bill came to less than $200! (Pretty worth!) + The food varieties were fabulous!

My 6th Year here

Today marks my 6th year with my coy. This is the longest period I ever stayed in a place and guess, the basic logic is my coy is a great place to work? Well, it depends on individual, for me, I hv mixed feelings. Staying too long at 1 place is not too good for the mind and it is time to evaluate the next step ahead.

Anyway, to celebrate, I hv decided to take half a day to get away from work(!??!!!). To enjoy myself and hv fun! :) (Another excuse to idle..)

Ice Age III

We went to watch Ice Age III last Saturday. The kids enjoyed alot (and so do we!!).

Will I be 3rd time lucky?

For those ard me, they have been eating quite a number of snacks from me Cos for 2x in a month, I have been striking 4D :) It all started with CSY (Cai Shen Ye) disguise as a form of a pretty gal who gave me 5 digit out of nowhere and no reason.. I was chatting with a buddy and suddenly 5-digit appeared before me. . at first I thought it was some requests but then, she herself has no idea where the nbr came from. So, out of fun, i bght the first and the last 4-digital and on that Wednesday, I strike consolation Prize! Hehehehe...after netting my cost, I still hv $$ to treat some of my colleagues tea. And on last sunday, before we sent Kerin to her Jan & Elly class, we got a flyer from a boy promoting a new restaurant at Sgn Gdns. I took the flyer, told kel someone is giving me some 'idea' again and jokingly told him to buy the telephone number. And guess what, the nbr opened Starter Prize!! Ha! And this time, kel bght the same nbr too (behind my back..)!! So, this time round, besides the usual treats, I still hv some profit to keep!

So, will I be 3rd time lucky? Anyway, whatever it is..it is just plain luck. I wont be go crazy with anything with 4 digits and use every penny to bet on any number. Cant help but to wonder.. will i be 3rd time lucky??
